Minimum Order - Please note that we have a minimum order of £30.00 excluding delivery. 

Advice about preparing your food

Different foods benefit from different cooking and heating methods. The meals come in packaging which is most appropriate to each item and will help to bring out the best of each product. Guidelines are printed on the website below each item.

Some products are really easy and may need a few minutes in a microwave or even just simply to be defrosted, as in the case of most desserts.

Others, such as a few of the main courses will need to defrost overnight,  so please take this into account when ordering.

The food arrives frozen so that you can put it straight into your freezer. If you order a day or two in advance then this will give you the flexibility of having it ready for use as required.

Of course, some parcels will be sent as presents to arrive on a particular day so if you are expecting the recipient to eat it that night please make sure that it’s suitable.

Why is your food frozen rather than chilled?

With the innovation of blast freezing our food is frozen in minutes rather than hours.  This means that all the true flavours of the food are retained and the texture is perfect, so you get food that tastes, looks and smells home-prepared. 

Where are your ingredients and products sourced?

Banquet in a Box are committed to producing and supplying the very best products, ethically produced and with the minimum impact on the environment.  For this reason we endeavour wherever possible to use free range and British meats, local suppliers and produce and MSC sustainable fish.

Our delivery days are Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday (extra cost).

Generally, we need a minimum of two working days to prepare and deliver your order.  Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays are not working days.  For example if you would like your order delivered on Friday, you need to order it on Tuesday. 

How will I know how to prepare the food?

Full cooking instructions are provided with every product, additionally simple instructions for each product are provided on the website.

Do you have products suitable for Vegetarians?

Yes, we have an extensive Vegetarian Menu.

Do you have any products that are guaranteed nut-free?

Most of our products do not contain nuts, but we cannot guarantee that they do not contain traces of nuts as they may be prepared in an environment where nuts are used in other products.

What if there is something I'm not happy about?

If you have a complaint about our products or service please follow the following complaints procedure:

  1. Contact us as soon as possible on 0333 335 0436 or e-mail admin@banquet-in-a-box.co.uk.
  2. Provide us with full details of your order, including order number, your name, the date of delivery and specific details about the problem that occurred.

How can I Recycle & Reuse the polystyrene packaging (EPS) used to deliver my order?

You can reuse the box yourself in a variety of ways:

  1. As an insulated cool box – simply use gel ice packs and seal the lid and your food will stay cool and/or frozen for 2-3 hours.  Ideal for holidays, days out or getting chilled/frozen food back from the supermarket.
  2. Keen gardeners can use the boxes as an excellent way to help their plants grow.

How does the packaging you use impact on the environment?

Used polystyrene has no impact on the environment even in landfill sites or in incinerators, nor does it contain substances that could pollute the air or soil. Crucially, the manufacture of EPS solutions does not release hydrosoluable substances that could contaminate ground water supplies either.
